Grief stress involves the roller coaster of various emotions good and bad. These emotions can be managed with the proper education and understanding of what is happening to the mind and body during the grieving process. This includes adults, teens and children.
The root cause of grief anxiety is the silent fear that accompanies the reality of loss.
The persistent feeling of sadness or loss of interest in daily activities.
Helping people process grief and tragic loss in a healthy educational manner and restore broken lives with renewed hope and transformed life perspectives.
Grief in Relationships
We recognize that the grieving process, no matter what kind of grief, affects our daily relationships in a positive or negative way. We provide the tools to empower you toward successful relationships with healthy boundaries.
Group Support gives the participant invaluable encouragement from peers who are also processing and experiencing the same pain, loneliness, heartache, and isolation.
Thank you Grief Comfort & Holly “Grief is difficult to explain or understand. Only those who experience it can fully assist others to peace and contentment. This is how GCI has helped me.
I was hesitant to enter the first grief support group but once I made it through the door I knew I was in the right place and continued to attend the seasonal support groups for the next two years. The people at the meetings became like family to me and now I volunteer in the organization.
We were complete strangers until we met at a Grief Comfort support group. Now we are close friends and directors within the organization. GCI changed our lives forever and now we are helping to change lives for the better as GCI volunteers.
Grief Comfort Inc. is changing the lives of children too. These little girls came to the children’s grief workshop afraid, grieving their Nana, and worried about their future. Today they are happy, healthy and thriving in every way. They attended the children’s workshop while their parents and grandpa attended the adult support group. They understand grief is sad but now realize they can go on living a happy and productive life. The oldest child has already expressed an interest in helping other grieving children.
Holly came to the grief support group angry, bewildered and mad at God for taking her mother in the prime of her life. After attending a couple of meetings she realized all of her various emotions were normal responses to her life tragedy. After attending several adult grief support sessions and seeing the educational value of what the support groups were teaching her about grief she decided she wanted to help others who were also grieving. Today Holly is a successfully trained and loved adult grief support group facilitator making a huge impact in the lives of those she serves.
